From 8 Students to 890 (and Counting)

Four years ago, I found myself in a small hall in Glanmire, standing in front of 8 students, ready to teach Maths. No grand vision, no real strategy—just a gut feeling that Maths could be taught better. Fast-forward to today, and over 890 students are learning with us online every week.

Yeah, it’s kind of wild.

The Accidental Business

Let me be real: I didn’t set out to start a company. There was no business plan, no 10-year roadmap. I started this on a whim, mostly because I thought, “Hey, Maths is taught so badly.” That’s it. And here we are, 890 students later, still doing what we do best—teaching Maths in a way that actually works.

The Secret? It’s All About the Teachers

We all know the difference a great teacher can make. That’s why we went straight for the best. I hired teachers from UCD, UCC—all 625-pointers, full of energy. And trust me, that energy is infectious.

Students aren’t just learning from people who know Maths; they’re learning from people who love Maths. That’s where the magic happens. We didn’t want just any teacher—we wanted the best. So, instead of having 10 average teachers teaching small groups of 7 or 8, we flipped the model.

Now, one amazing teacher leads a class of 150. It’s more effective because you’re getting the best in the business, not a mixed bag of quality.

Online is the Future (and We’re Leading the Charge)

Look, no one wants to sit in traffic just to go to a class. The future is online, and we knew that from the start. But here’s the problem: concentrating online is tough. That’s why we built our own testing platform. Students can track their results, see their progress, and stay engaged.

Turns out, they love it. Tracking your own progress makes the learning stick, and it keeps students hooked in a way that traditional classrooms just can’t.

What’s Next? Scaling Like Crazy

Right now, we’re aiming for 2,000 students per week. That’s the next milestone. After that, we’re taking this thing beyond the Republic—first Northern Ireland this year, then the UK by September 2025.

The goal? Keep pushing boundaries. Keep growing. And most importantly, keep making Maths something that doesn’t terrify students, but actually empowers them.

We’re just getting started. Buckle up.
