Hot take: UCC is Ireland’s most beautiful college.

It’s like a Cork Hogwarts. Little archs, quads, tree lined avenues. At any second, you just feel like an owl will appear and intil in you the gifts of mathematical magic.

God, I should have studied English, not Ag Science.

On Monday I had the great privilege of telling the Breakthrough Maths story to over 40 UCC Commerce Society members. What a buzz. Genuinely was one of the best talks I’ve ever had. Huge engagement and interest.

In hindsight, it’s easy to see why people like the story. Nobody similar has scalled an enterprise liek Breaktough maths in their 20’s> The ususals parth is just – graduate role, get cheesed off, then try somthing.

Regrets

For me tough, my onwly regret in life is that i didn’t start breakthorugh maths earlier. My first year in kerry group was great. By year 2 I was bored. At the end of year 4, I was completely switched off.

But tout pour un raison (Not sure if that;s a masculine or femine noun). It’;s erasy to join teh dots in hindshight. Impossible to do it looking ahead.

Advice to my younger self

I would definitely have just got going ealrier. Take the punbt. Like the thing is, you;’re biggest asset in life is time. TIme allows you to make more mistakes and reciver. It allows you to have more compound interest. And compound itnerest is the 8th wonder of the world, as warren buffet can atest.

Just try. Take the punt. Dosesent; need to be a big plan. Follow your nose and then execute to relenless obsession when you see green flags.
